I am a geophysicist who applies physics and math to solve geologic problems.
My broad research interests are in the dynamics of Earth's tectonic plates. Recently, I have been working on how magma-rock interaction can alter continental lithosphere.
Prospective students: I am always looking for motivated graduate and undergraduate students who are interested in using physics, math, and numerical modeling to solve geologic problems. Please send me an email.
Announcements: Spring 2025: Congratulations to graduate student Grant Block for winning an NSF-USGS Intern award to improve Pylith by building in poroviscoelastic materials
